When I first turned 16 I was looking for my first car. I looked hard everywhere for an older honda and I couldn’t find one that I loved. One day on the Facebook marketplace I came across this beautiful 1997 Honda del sol vtec. It was bone stock nothing was done to it. I was very confused about what car it was. All I saw was the Honda emblem and fell in love. My whole family has Hondas, which made me wanna get a Honda. I never even knew this chassis existed, when it popped up I asked my dad what car it was and he told me it was a del sol a Honda a lot of people neglect but still a super fun car, especially with the b16a2. I had a base model 2008 Civic sedan and the previous owner agreed to straight trade. Del sols aren’t as popular as any other Hondas but that makes me love it even more. Thanks to Oldsols, more and more people are getting del sols.

This OldSol of the Month August 2023 winner showcases the best of Honda Del Sol customization.

Fast forward 2 years, and here we are now just an 18-year-old with his dream car. i built this car to be unique and with 1 goal to be the reason more and more people are getting into del sols. Since I’ve had this car I’ve fallen in love with it so much more. This car gets so much attention everywhere I go. I’ve put about 5k miles on it, and I wish I drive it a lot more but I can’t ever put myself in the position to leave it outside anywhere unattended. This car has been through a lot and i appreciate the del sol community and Oldsols for choosing my del sol out of many to be Del Sol Of The Month.
