As the **OldSol of the Month February 2024** winner, my journey with Honda Del Sols has fueled my passion for cars and solidified my dream of pursuing a career in the automotive industry.
The OldSol of the Month February 2024 celebrates a remarkable Honda Del Sol that has captured the hearts of enthusiasts with its unique features and meticulous craftsmanship.
I have only had this car for a little over a year. I bought it for a very cheap price because it didn’t run and had been sitting for a while. I did not know anything about cars when I got it. I am a fast learner and quickly learned how to work on my car and eventually got it running and driving. The car was decently maintained until the owner let it sit for years in the brutal Arizona sun. It has almost 300k miles on it now and still drives like new.
The delsol is like any other car on the road. Its compact size, vibrant paint, and sporty look makes it very attractive and unique. The Del Sol is one of the very few Hondas that ever allowed an open top. which I think makes the del Sol one of the most unique Hondas.
The del sol is often over looked by most people and under-appreciated by some. It is a great car for people who want something unique and fun. There is no substitute for the Honda del Sol.
Del Sol build itself:
Maxpeedingrods coilovers
Jnc006 bronze wheels
Yonaka cat back exhaust (no cat tho)
Stock d15 motor
The previous owner ripped all the ac out, even heat, so weight reduction I guess?
As the OldSol of the Month February 2024, this Del Sol stands out not just for its looks but for the dedication and passion poured into every modification.
Future plans:
I have so many plans for this car, there is a lot of things I want to change but my end goal would be to do a swap to a b16a and maybe turbo and get the car repainted.
I was recently in my first car accident, my car is pretty messed up, but no mechanical damage so far. I was rear-ended and pushed through a brick wall. My front and rear bumpers are messed up and my hood is a little scratched but nothing major.
My rear quarter panel is smashed in pretty bad though.
Thank you Owen for being a big help in making my car look this good
Winning the OldSol of the Month February 2024 title is a testament to the owner’s commitment to creating an exceptional Honda Del Sol.
